Stone Age Day

We had a fantastic time on our Stone Age day.  We loved dressing up and getting in role for our day. We were lucky to have Adrian to come in and lead the day. He brought in lots of artefact for us to see- arrow heads, spears, pottery and axes. We looked at the time line for Stone Age to Iron Age and then discussed the different periods. 

We then created our cave art using natural resources collected from the garden ( there were no paint brushes in the Stone Age)

In the hall, we had a carousel of activities- den building, grain grinding, dressing up, hunting and flint carving. 

We had a fantastic, interactive day which enhanced all the brilliant learning we had done prior to this day.
