Homework
Welcome to our Homework Page.
Reading
We ask that children read every night and record the page numbers in their reading diary. The diary is checked every week. We also give out reading comprehension throughout the year. Please return this on a Friday if it is handed out so that it can be marked.
Spellings
Spellings are given out on a Friday and tested the following Friday. Please spend some time at home to learn the spellings. A homework sheet featuring the spellings is handed out each week and should be returned on Friday. In addition, there are spelling games featuring the weekly spelling list on the Spelling Shed website. Children may also wish to write spellings in sentences that are based on the grammar focus for that week (e.g. use a modal verb, use a relative clause, use a conjunction, use commas for clarity, use parentheses, etc.)
Maths
Children are asked to keep practising their times tables. This can be done without the need for a computer though your child may wish to use websites such as Hit the Button, or TT Rockstars.
Work is often set on MyMaths to compliment the work that is done in class.
There are also games linked to the crriculum on Purple Mash.
All usernames and passwords are stuck into the Reading Diary so websites can be accessed at home.
