Education Initiative Award - Preston Sports Awards 2025
On Friday the 14th of November, Queen's Drive Primary School were awarded a very prestigious award by the Preston Sports Forum at an event held at Preston Grasshoppers Rugby Club. Queen's Drive were successful in winning the 'Education Initiative' Award for 2025.
This award celebrates the achievements of the school over the last 12 months in raising the profile of sport and physical activity in and out of school. The organising committee were very impressed with the wide range of sporting clubs and teams that the school currently offers, along with the opportunity for children to watch high level sport on a national and international stage.
Last year, the school took a large group of pupils to the British Championships for Gymnastics in Liverpool, with another group of children travelling to Old Trafford Cricket Ground to watch a women's 20/20 international match between India and England. The pupils thoroughly enjoyed both of these events and have been inspired to aim high in their own sporting ambitions.
