The Great Fire of London!

Wow, what a day we had! We all came in dressed from the time of The Great Fire of London, some of us even had some ash or soot on our faces because of the fire. 

We had a special visitor come in to talk to us about what it was like. He lived outside London but had to go to London to try and help put the fire out. He brought in some of the equipment he used and we got to hold them and even made a human chain to pass a bucket of water around, we then had to put the fire out, Mr Pearce got a bit wet!

In the afternoon, we looked at the materials that some of the equipment was made from, played with some toys from the time and had a go at creating a woven wooden panel like would have been in the houses. We had a great time and got to show off all our knowledge at the topic.
