Welcome to Queen’s Drive EYFS!
The children have had a fantastic time exploring new learning, making new friendships, settling into school life, being part of a team, working collaboratively and having fun crafting. They’ve learnt indoors and outdoors, practised new skills and developed ones they already had. It has been full of discovery, creativity, and fun. Here’s a look at what they’ve been up to:
Settling In & Making Friends
- The children have settled beautifully into school life getting used to new routines, rules and school expectations.
- They’ve built on previous friendships, made new friendships and learned what it means to be part of a team.
- Working collaboratively and supporting each other has been a big focus in all areas of school life.
Learning Adventures Indoors & Outdoors
- Exploring new skills and building on existing ones both pyysically and in thier learning.
- Crafting, creating, and expressing themselves through arts and music.
- Leading their own learning with exciting topics like sharks and spiders, asking lots of questions and exploring thier ideas.
Special Experiences
- Meeting People Who Help Us in the community- a doctor, dentist and a chiropterologist (bat expert).
- Encountering real-life bats – a truly memorable moment!
- Enjoying sessions with our fabulous music specialist, Mrs. Kearvall.
Celebrations & Performances
- Learning about different celebrations within our communities and sharing stories about their families and home life.
- Singing their hearts out in the Nativity – what a show!
- Practising daily Mindfulness to help them feel calm and focused.
A Wonderful Beginning
This term has been packed with joy, curiosity, and growth. It’s been an amazing start to their Queen’s Drive learning journey, and we can’t wait to see what the spring term brings!
